Coronavirus outbreak can not stop without the participation of all of us. As a part of this process, Elon Musk, the chief executive of Tesla promises to provide New York with too many ventilators. He also confirmed that the first installment of the machines will be delivered on Friday.

Manufacturers in China got approval from the US government and the ventilators came from them after finishing the purchasing process.

For this contribution by Elon Musk, Bill de Blasio, the mayor of New York City did not forget to thank him. In a Twitter message he wrote, "We're deeply grateful. We need every ventilator we can get our hands on these next few weeks to save lives."

Hospitals located in New York City and across this particular state will receive the donated ventilators.

In the US, New York is the worst affected area with a large number of confirmed cases. Until Friday, there have been 519 deaths due to Covid-19 as confirmed by the governor.

With such a large number of infected people, the US is now officially at the top of the list with the most confirmed cases on Thursday.

The disease directly affects the lungs and patients feel difficulty to breathe. That is why they need ventilators. According to Andrew Cuomo, the Governor of New York, the state needs at least 30,000 ventilators to fight the current situation because of the viral outbreak.

Last week, Mr. Musk purchased 1,255 ventilators. The manufacturers from whom he made the purchase include Philips, Medtronic, and ResMed. He also mentioned that all the ventilators will be given it does not matter if they built or buy them.

Besides, he also pledged to reopen one of the gigafactory located in Buffalo, New York earlier this month. Initially, this factory built solar cells but now it will produce and manufacture additional ventilators.

In his Twitter blog, he wrote, "Giga New York will reopen for ventilator production as soon as humanly possible. We will do anything in our power to help the citizens of New York."

As an action to protect the staff working in New York and California, the company suspended all the production there.

Musk himself was not so serious about the coronavirus earlier as he mentioned it in a Twitter message that people’s fear about coronavirus pandemic is "dumb." He also tweeted that children are essentially immune and this remark is false. But his current donation shows us that Mr. Musk has changed his view on coronavirus.

There are many other companies producing ventilators to fight the current situation besides Tesla, the US carmaker company.

Other car making companies like Ford and General Motors are going to follow the same steps as Tesla. But Donald Trump, the US President accused both these companies of overcharging the prices of the machines and their arrangements to produce ventilators face a threat now.
