Coronavirus infects Prince Charles, the 71-year-old Prince of Wales. According to a spokesman, his condition is sound as the symptoms are mild. The spokesman also confirms that similar tests were done on the Duchess of Cornwall but this 72-year-old did not show any sign of the virus.

As a preventative measure, Charles and Camilla have kept themselves self-isolated at Balmoral.
Buckingham Palace confirms that the Queen met her son, the next heir on 12 March, and he was in good health.

The palace also confirms the fact that the Duke of Edinburgh was not there while the meeting was going on and the Queen followed all the appropriate advice to keep in good health.
From a statement of the Clarence House, we come to know that the government and medical advice makes the prince and the duchess remain self-isolated in Scotland.

The NHS carried the tests in Aberdeenshire, as the place met all the required criteria for the testing process.

As the prince has carried out a large number of engagements due to his public roles recently, it is not possible to find out from whom he has caught the virus.

Last Sunday, the duke and duchess arrived in Scotland. As Charles was showing mild symptoms, the NHS in Aberdeenshire tested him on Monday.

The results of the tests came on Tuesday night declaring that he was positive. The good spirits of Charles allow him to carry on working still.

The heir of the throne had a chance to meet his mother, the Queen for a short period on 12 March.

As the son tests positive to the virus, it is more important to take proper initiatives for the Queen so that she also keeps in good health. Last week, she moved to Windsor. At that time, the Duke of Edinburgh gave her assistance as he came from his usual residence at Sandringham in Norfolk.

The queen is now 93 and the duke is 98. So, both of them need proper care lest the virus may destroy their well-being.

The isolation rule set by the government advises Prince Charles and Camilla to stay at home. The place where they are now is not big enough but sufficient to keep themselves isolated.

A small staff will accompany the couple as they will stay in Scotland for a minimum of two weeks. This is a crucial time for both of them to recover from the symptoms.

12 March is the last public engagement day by the prince and also the last day to meet with his mother, the queen. They attended a dinner while working for the  Australian bushfire relief and recovery effort.

But, Charles has not stopped working from home as he held some private meetings with Duchy of Cornwall and Highgrove individuals in the last few days. He also made them aware of the deadly virus.

The staff who worked for the prince’s Birkhall house located in Balmoral estate will self-isolate themselves in their own residences.

From the source of the palace, we come to know that the prince contacted the Queen and his sons working as the Dukes of Sussex and Cambridge. His health is good.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson got the news of positive test results of Prince Charles on Tuesday morning and he wished that he may recover soon from this virus. A spokesman confirms.

The spokesperson also mentioned that the weekly audience by the PM with the Queen is now running by telephone.

Last 24- hours reports show that 28 deaths occurred in England and the coronavirus death toll is now 414.

So far, there have been 22 deaths in Scotland, 7 in Northern Ireland and 22 in Whales as the latest figures keep counting.
